Starting Point

Come to a  Starting Point “sneak preview” with free rolls and juice on January 8th in Room 20 from 11:00 -12:00.  Find out what Starting Point is all about!

The next  session starts January 15 – February 19  and meets from 11:00 – 12:00 in Room 20

Starting Point provides a conversational environment where believers can explore faith and experience community. They meet for six consecutive weeks for one hour in a relaxed living room-type atmosphere. Groups consist of 8-14 people who are new or returning to their faith, and are led by teams of 2-3 trained facilitators. Throughout the course you will hear audio messages from Pastor Andy Stanly on various biblical topics that will help you answer questions like:
 
  • Is the Bible reliable?
  • Creation – Where did we come from?
  • Why is our world full of so much brokenness
  • Are God’s Promises trustworthy?
  • Why did God give us the Ten Commandments?
  • What can we do about rebellion?
  • Why did Jesus have to die?
  • How can I experience intimacy with God through his Holy Spirit?
  • How do I fit in God’s story
  • How good is good enough to get to heaven?

During the course of six sessions you will:

  • Listen to the audio message each week in preparation for the class
  • Us the Conversation Guide to reflect on the themes of the bible
  • Explore and share what you are learning with other participants in a conversational environment
Cost for registration is $10 and includes a Starting Point media kit 
Groups will form at various times throughout the year. Watch weekend programs for dates.
